Winona Hartvikson of Langley, BC, and 19-year-old Onyx, a Hanoverian gelding sired by Wolkentanz she co-owns with Jane MacDonald competed in the Grade I division during the CPEDI 3* competition in Thermal, CA from Feb. 17-20. The duo scored 72.857% in the Para Team test, 73.869% in the Para Individual test and completed the weekend with a 75.367% in the freestyle.
Erynn Ballard
Erynn Ballard of Tottenham, ON, and Nanini Van D’Abelendreef (Kannan x Heartbreaker), a nine-year-old Belgian warmblood mare, co-owned by Esperanza Imports LLC and Ilan Ferder, earned the $37,000 USD CSI 5* win in Wellington, FL on Feb. 11, 2022. The duo topped 50 entries and finished with 57.82, beating Ireland’s Jordan Coyle and Ballyoskill Big Bucks with 59.34 seconds.
Béatrice Boucher
Beatrice Boucher of Saint-Dominique, QC, and Summerwood Limei (Londonderry x Weltmeyer), an eight-year-old Hanoverian mare owned by Monica Von Glahn, earned two victories for the maple leaf from Feb. 23-27 in Wellington, FL. On Feb. 25, the duo shined in the Prix St. Georges with a score of 73.382% over Colombia’s Maria Alejandra Aponte Gonzalez and Lord of the Dance (68.471%). The pair repeated their winning ways on Feb. 26 in the Intermediate I test by earning 70.912% from the panel over United States’ Silva Martin and Esperanto, who scored 69.059%.
Brittany Fraser-Beaulieu
On March 3 in Wellington, FL, Brittany Fraser-Beaulieu of Saint-Bruno, QC, and All In (Tango x Damiro), a 16-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding she co-owns with her husband Marc-Andre Beaulieu, captured the win in the CDI-W FEI World Cup Dressage Short Grand Prix with a score of 71.447%. The duo bested United States’ Alice Tarjan, who finished with a score of 69.053%, while riding Donatella M.
Two days later, Fraser-Beaulieu rode Downing Street (Don Noblesse x Rubinstein 46), a seven-year-old Oldenburg gelding owned by Nadia Moretto, to finish with a score of 73.022% in the CDIYH in the horse’s first CDI competition.
Ava MacCoubrey
Ava MacCoubrey of Cobourg, ON, and Du Vin (Desperado x Don Romantic), a five-year-old Oldenburg gelding owned by Chloe Gasiorowski, made their competition debut earning wins in the CDIYH in the YH 5 Preliminary Test on Feb. 26 finishing with an 81.800% and YH5 Final on Feb. 27 with a score of 75.300% in Wellington, FL.
Ben Asselin
Ben Asselin of Calgary, AB, captured the win in the $40,000 Adequan Grand Prix on Feb. 12, 2022, at the Desert International Horse Park in Thermal, CA. Riding Veyron (Conterno Grande x Heartbreaker), a 16-year-old Oldenburg stallion, owned by Attache Stables home, the duo finished with a time of 41.30 to win over United States’ Karrie Rufer, who finished with 41.76 while in the reins of Stern dei Folletti.

Shannon Dueck, originally from Langley, BC, and Angelika MW, the six-year-old Oldenburg mare she co-owns with Elizabeth Ferber, Kathy Putnam and Julie Skinner took home the victory over 19 rider and horse combinations in the CDI 1* PSG Prix St-Georges in Wellington, FL on March 3. The duo finished with a 69.588% over Tiffany Silverman and Vincenzo 14 (69.382%) of the United States.
Camille Carier Bergeron
On Feb. 10, Camille Carier Bergeron of Laval, QC, rode Acoeur (Acordelli x Ricardo), Gilles Bergeron’s 14-year-old Baden-Württemberg gelding, to the top of the CDI U25 in the Intermediate II in Wellington, FL. The duo finished with a 70.059% over United States’ Kaylee Christensen and Chateau 28 (63.147%).
Carier Bergeron switched reins, debuting Gilles Bergeron’s Sound of Silence 4 (San Amour I x Limes), a 14-year-old Westphalian gelding, in the Under 25 Freestyle competition. The pair won on March 3 in the Intermediate II with a score of 71.000% over Quinn Iverson of the United States and Beckham 19 (67.059%). Two days later, the duo finished with a 70.695% in the Grand Prix Freestyle.
Sean Jobin
On March 4, Sean Jobin of Toronto, ON, and Cuba Libre V (Cornet Obolensky x Ghalshueter), a 11-year-old Westphalian mare, owned by Foxridge Farms Stables, earned the victory at in the CSI 4* in Ocala, Live Oak Plantation, FL. Riding for the first time together in competition, the duo stopped the clock at 32.07, besting Australia’s Rowan Willis and Ashton, who came in second with 33.01.
Chloe Gasiorowski
On Feb. 27, Chloe Gasiorowski of Toronto, ON, Dimacci DC (Dimaggio x Rubinstein I), a 14-year-old Oldenburg gelding owned by Susan and Tim Dutta, rode together to victory in the CDI 3* Intermediate II in Wellington, FL. The pair finished with a score of 68.294% over Switzerland’s Barbara Bertschinger and Sonnenbergs Solisco CH, who recorded 66.471%.
Vanessa Creech-Terauds
On Feb. 25, Vanessa Creech-Terauds of Caistor Centre, ON, and Fleur de Lis L (First Dance x De Niro), a 22-year-old Hanoverian mare owned by Diane Creech and Louise Leathdale, earned the win in the CDI U25 GP 16-25 in Wellington FL. The duo finished with a score of 68.436% over fellow Canadian Claire Robinson and Glamour Boy (65.846%).

Claire Robinson of Edmonton, AB, and Glamour Boy (Bojengel x Jazz), a 10-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding owned by Carol Robinson, completed the CDI U25 Intermediate II with a score of 65.353% over fellow Canadian Vanessa Creech-Terauds and Fleur de Lis L (65.000%).

Michelle Filsinger, originally from Guelph, ON, and her own Bellmeier (Belissimo x Weltmeyer), a 12-year-old Westphalian gelding earned the win in the CDI Am PSG Prix St-Georges on Feb. 11 in Wellington, FL. Filsinger and Bellmeier (64.657%) outlasted United States’ Rebecca Roman and Robes Bieber, who scored 64.166%.
Kathryn Robinson
Kathryn Robinson of Edmonton, AB and Forget Me Not (Valdez x Olympic Ferro), a 11-year-old Dutch Warmblood mare owned by Carol Robinson captured wins in the CDIY in Thermal, CA on Feb. 18 and Feb. 20. The duo finished with a score of 68.029% to beat Erin Nichols of the USA (67.912%) in the Young Riders Team Competition and then recorded 68.250% in the Young Riders Freestyle to Music.
Laura Hall
Laura Hall of Ladysmith, BC won all three tests in the Grade IV division riding Istrano (Chironie x Waldermar), a nine-year-old Dutch Harness horse she co-owns her husband, Adam Hall. The duo scored 66.958% in the Para Team test, 70.813% in the Para Individual test and a freestyle score of 69.917% for a successful weekend in Thermal, CA from Feb. 17-20.
