The native of Chambly, QC., Brooke Mancusi and Kalisto Sollenburg (Eye Catcher x Rousseau), a six-year-old Dutch Warmblood, owned by BM Dressage, earned the win in the CDIY Young Riders Team Competition on Jan. 28 in Wellington, FL. The duo finished with 66.265, narrowly beating Suzannah Rogers and Paladine of Elysium of the USA, with a score of 66.235.
Amy Millar
On Dec. 10, Amy Millar of Perth, ON., rode Christiano (Canoso x Compliment), a 11-year-old Dutch Sport Horse gelding, co-owned with Future Adventures, skillfully completed the final round in 48.76 in the CSI 5* Major League Show Jumping (MLSJ) individual event. Ireland’s Conor Swail and Theo 160 and Jacqueline Steffens and Freaky followed Millar in the competition rankings. The three scores led to the first-place accomplishment for team Eye Candy that day.
Jacqueline Steffens
On Dec. 4, Jaqueline Steffens of Harriston, ON., rode Cat Ninja (VDL Zirocco Blue x Corland) to victory in the $36,600 CSI 5* MLSJ in Thermal, CA. The 14-year-old Belgian Warmblood mare owned by Eye Candy Jumpers, and Steffens skillfully completed the round in 68.92 seconds to beat USA’s Kaitlin Campbell and Feyon who took 73.03 to set off the buzzers.
Claire Robinson
Claire Robinson of Edmonton, AB., and Glamour Boy (Bojengel x Jazz), a 10-year-old Belgian Warmblood gelding, owned by Carol Robinson, finished with a score of 61.765% in the CDI U25 Intermediate II on Dec. 10 in Ocala, FL. A day later, the duo posted a score of 65.299% in the CDI U25 Grand Prix 16-25 on Dec. 11 in Ocala, FL.
Camille Carier Bergeron

On Jan. 14, Camille Carier Bergeron of Laval, QC, and Acoeur (Acordelli x Ricardo), a 14-year-old Baden- Württemberg gelding, owned by her father Gilles Bergeron, finished with a score of 70.471% in the CDI U25 Intermediate II in the opening week of the Adequan Global Dressage Festival (AGDF) in Wellington, FL. The duo’s score outlasted USA’s Nicole Scarpino and Lambada 224 who finished with a score of 64.794%.
A day later, Carier Bergeron and Acoeur captured the win in the CDI U25 Grand Prix in Wellington, FL, finishing with a score of 70.667 over Scarpino and Lambada, who posted a 64.872. Carier Bergeron is currently ranked first in the FEI World Youth Dressage – U25 Ranking.
Team Eye Candy
A team of one Irish and two Canadian athletes travelled to Thermal, CA., to compete at the $200,000 Major League Show Jumping (MLSJ) CSI 5* Team Competition as team Eye Candy. On Dec. 10, Jacqueline Steffens of Harriston, ON., and the 11-year-old Dutch Sport Horse gelding that she co-owns with Team Eye Candy, Freaky (Darco x Litho X), Amy Millar of Perth, ON, and Future Adventures’ 11-year-old Dutch Sport Horse gelding, Christiano (Canoso x Compliment); and Irish athlete Conor Swail and the 11-year old Holsteiner gelding, owned by Team Philippaerts earned the victory in a successful outing. The trio finished with a score of 234.58 outlasting team Crusaders.
Chris Sorensen
Chris Sorensen of Caledon, ON., and Hermie DLT (Cantos x Padinus), a nine-year-old Belgian Warmblood, co-owned by Lulav Group LLC and Sorensen Stables, captured the win in the CSI 2* in Vejer de la Frontera on Jan. 23. The duo finished with a 70.12, ahead of second place Great Britain’s Richard Jenkinson and Seaburg, who finished with a 70.81.

Pia Fortmuller of Foothills, AB., and a 11-year-old Hanoverian mare Frieda (Fuerstenball x Rouletto), who she co-owns with Lars Busch earned the CDI 3* Grand Prix win on Jan. 27 in Wellington, FL. The duo’s 70.457 score bested a field of 10 athletes, including USA’s Katie Duerrhammer and Quartett, who finished second place with a score of 69.870.
Vanessa Creech-Terauds
Vanessa Creech-Terauds of Caistor Centre, ON., won both the CDI U25 Intermediate II on Jan. 28 and the CDI U25 Grand Prix on Jan. 29 with her partner, Fleur de Lis L (First Dance x De Niro). In the Intermediate II class, the Canadian duo scored 68.323, before finishing the Grand Prix on 67.872. Ranked ninth in the FEI World Youth Dressage – U25 Ranking, Creech-Terauds and the 12-year-old Hanoverian mare owned by Diane Creech and Louise Leatherdale are no strangers to earning the ribbon.
Tim Wilks
On Jan. 29, Tim Wilks of Henley on Thames, UK rode Diamanthella Vg Z (Diamant de Semilly x Hickory Mail) to the CSI 2* victory in Vejer de la Frontera. The 11-year-old Belgian Warmblood mare, owned by IN Showjumpers, carried Wilks around the course in 43.81 and zero faults, over Switzerland’s Martin Fuchs and Viper Z, who finished with 43.87.
Brian Walker
Brian Walker, who resides in Wellington, FL., and Cleopatra (Quick Star x Calato), a 11-year-old Holsteiner mare, owned by Waldman Horses, finished with the win in the CSI 2* Open in Exloo, NED on Jan. 29. The duo finished with a 37.85 in a field of 42 athlete and horse combinations. The next closest was Netherland’s Mart Ijland and Hero, who recorded a score of 39.62.
