2023 Important Highlights:
Safe Sport Training
All competitive athletes, owners, and officials aged 18 or older are required to complete two free EC Safe Sport training sessions, EC Concussion Awareness and Fostering Healthy Equestrian Environments found in the ECampus within your MyEC account within 30 days of purchase of your sport licence. This is waived if you completed the training in 2022. Minors are not required to complete the training. Coaches have safe sport training as part of their status program certification.

Coach Status
Holding an EC Coach Status will be required for all coaches at EC sanctioned competitions in 2023, and Licenced status will be required to engage in coaching at an EC Platinum or Gold show. The Coach Status Program remains one of the top priorities to ensure the safety of equestrian sport with each status symbolizing that a coach has completed verified background screening and that their training and insurance are current.

Non-status Coach Fee – Effective 2023 there will be a Non-status Coach Fee which will apply to all athletes entering a competition with a coach that does not hold the appropriate credentials.
