Welcome to the newly revamped EC Insider!
Thank you to the nearly 800 people who took the time to respond to our Insider survey over the holidays – the Insider is one of our favourite publications, and we were thrilled to see that it means so much to all of you, as well.
Some of the top takeaways from the survey that we will be implementing include:
- Continuing to increase our efforts to represent Canada’s wide range of equestrian sport across disciplines, competition levels and geographic locations.
- Giving you more insight into EC programs and services.
- Ensuring content is published on the appropriate platform, whether that is via the Insider, social media or other communications channels.
Our team has spent a lot of time discussing the survey results and hopes you find the February 2020 edition a promising start to an improved e-newsletter experience, as well as a reflection of your feedback. We will continue to fine tune the Insider over the coming months, delivering the national news you crave straight to your inbox.
Finally, we wanted to let you know that the most valuable asset to EC Communications is you! We are a small (but mighty!) four person team – but with over 20,000 Insider subscribers acting as our eyes and ears on the ground, at the barn and in the ring, we can do an even better job promoting as much of our sport and community as possible. So, if you come across a story you think deserves to be shared across the nation, or if there is a topic you would like the Insider to address, please share it with us at communications@equestrian.ca.
Sitting on the edge of this new year’s show season and with the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and Paralympics hovering on the horizon, we are reminded of all there is to celebrate and look forward to as members of the Canadian horse sport community. Thank you for joining us on these exciting equestrian journeys, and we are honoured and privileged to be a part of yours.
Sincerely,
Jessie Christie
