Canadian Olympian Beth Underhill of Schomberg, ON got started in equestrian through the Toronto and North York Pony Club. Today, she is a veteran member of the Canadian Equestrian Team, having represented the maple leaf at Olympic, Pan American and World Equestrian Games, with both team and individual medals to her credit. She was also the first woman to win the Canadian World Cup League and is a three-time Canadian Show Jumping Champion. She operates Beth Underhill Stables and is one of Canada’s top coaches. Passionate about the development of up-and-coming athletes, Beth helped pioneer the EC Jumping Youth Development Program and was the inaugural Program Advisor from 2015 to 2019, helping Canadians earn podium finishes in FEI team events and the FEI North American Youth Championships.
A dedicated and long-standing volunteer, Beth has been a mainstay of the EC Jumping Committee, and has also been a member of the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair Board of Directors since 2017. She has also recently joined the Guelph Equine Policy Group, and has participated in a wide range of fundraising initiatives for numerous organizations, from the Children’s Wish Foundation to Sunnybrook Hospital.
An energetic and effective contributor to the EC Board of Directors, Beth brings a fair-minded and educated perspective, and is committed to “getting the job done.”
