Jim Ifko of Calgary, AB earned a win in the CSI3* Tbird 1.45m Qualifier in Langley, BC on Sept. 21. Riding Un Diamant des Forets (Diamant de Semilly x Papillon Rouge), a 15-year-old Selle Français gelding owned by Eventyre Farms Ltd., Ifko went double clear with a time of 39.64 over USA’s Kyle King and Sig Chiari (42.01).

Alicia Gadban-Lewis

On Oct. 5, Alicia Gadban-Lewis of Delta, BC, and Hactima de Lantiniere (Valmy de la Lande x Diamant de Semilly), earned a victory in the CSI1* in Saint-Tropez, France. Gadban-Lewis and the six-year-old Selle Français mare co-owned by S.A.R.L Haras de Fourches and SARL Cap Horse, competed fault free and finished with a time of 55.32 over Netherlands’ Jersey Kuijpers and Enjoy Me 5 (58.21).

Tommy Ouellet

From Sept. 20 – 24, Tommy Ouellet of Québec City, QC, earned the victory in the CAI1*-H4 Dressage and Cones format. Driving his own Kingston, an eight-year-old Dutch Harness gelding, Mohawk Chief, a six-year-old American Dutch Harness Horse gelding, Naaman, a five-year-old Dutch Harness gelding and Nora-LZ, a five-year-old American Dutch Harness Horse, Ouellet finished with score of 66.27 in the dressage phase, 35.50 in cone and a final score of 101.77.

Hannah Beaulieu of Maple Ridge, BC, had impressive wins in the CDI1* in Budapest, HUN on Sept. 29 and 30. Aboard Meggle’s Long Island (Lord Loxley I x Breitling W), an 11-year-old Hanoverian gelding owned by Marina u. Toni Meggle Dressurstall GmbH & Co.KG, in a seven-horse starting field in the Prix St. Georges with a score of 70.353%. The pair repeated their winning ways in the Intermediate I test with a score of 69.441%.

Elizabeth Bates

On Sept. 16, Breakaway Equestrian BVBA’s Heartbeat W (Baloubet du Rouet x Heartbreaker) and Elizabeth Bates, a Canadian who resides in Waterloo, BEL earned the victory in the CSI2* in Bonheiden, BEL. The 11-year-old Dutch warmblood gelding and Bates raced the clock without gaining any faults to finish in 36.02 seconds.

Sofia McGarvey

Sofia McGarvey of Ashton, ON, earned a victory in the CVICh2* Individual Children Female class on Sept. 22 in Chilliwack, BC. Performing with Sullivan, a 13-year-old Percheron Cross gelding owned by Korynn Weber, McGarvey and lunger Weber finished with a score of 6.232 over USA Tana Winther and Zorro (6.114).

Sean Jobin

On Sept. 22, Sean Jobin of Toronto, ON, and Arkuga (Arko II x Heartbreaker), a 12-year-old Anglo European Sport Horse owned by Antrim Equestrian earned an impressive win in the CSI2* Tabel A in Caledon, ON. The pair was one of 25 athlete and horse combinations to begin the class and they finished double clear and recorded the fastest time of 41.95.

Jaydee Fluet

Jaydee Fluet of Sundre, AB, earned a victory in the CVIJ2* Individual Junior Female event on Sept. 22 in Chilliwack, BC. Performing with Quest, an eight-year-old Clydesdale Paint cross gelding owned by Angelique Vick, Fluet and lunger Vick completed the competition with a score of 6.703.

Evi Strasser

The Winner’s Circle – October 2023

Evi Strasser of Sainte-Adèle, QC earned multiple wins in the CDI3* event in Devon, PA, from Sept. 26 – Oct. 1. Riding her own Déjà vu Tyme (Dauphin x Werbellin), a 16-year-old Hanoverian gelding, Strasser danced her way to scores of 66.217% in the Grand Prix and 66.117% in the Grand Prix Special.

Kateri Belisle & Alisa Dearborn

Kateri Belisle of Lantzville, BC and Alisa Dearborn of Chilliwack, BC, won the CVI1* Pas-de-Deux Senior on Sept. 22. Competing with Ryder, a 13-year-old Shire gelding owned by Jessica Bentzen, the pair of Belisle, Dearborn and lunger Bentzen finished with a score of 5.460.

On Sept. 22, Alisa Dearborn of Chilliwack, BC, took home a win in front of a hometown crowd in the CVI3* Individual Senior 3*. Performing with Zorro, a 10-year-old Canadian Sport Horse co-owned by Jeanine van der Sluijs and Angelique Vick, Dearborn and lunger Vick finished with a score of 5.980.

Alexia Guillemette

Alexia Guillemette of Bécancour, QC, finished atop of the leaderboard on from Sept. 20 – 24 in the CAI1*-P1 dressage and cones competition in Mill Spring, NC. Guiding Tit Gill PG, an eight-year-old Dutch Harness and Hackney owned by Pierre Guillemette, the pair started with a score of 53.47 in the dressage phase and finished with 7.67 in cones to win with a final score of 61.14.

On Sept. 22, Daniel Klotz-Deodora of Cochrane, AB, performed to a win in the CVI3* Individual Senior Male in Chilliwack, BC. Along with Quest, an eight-year-old Clydesdale Paint cross gelding owned by Angelique Vick, Klotz-Deodora and lunger Vick completed the competition with a score of 7.350.

David S. Pegg

David S. Pegg of Cannington, ON, won the CSI2* Grand Prix Table A on Sept. 23 aboard Gin Tonic 158 (Graf Top x Satisfaction FRH) in Caledon, ON. Pegg and his own 11-year-old Hanoverian gelding jumped double clear and finished with the fastest time of 38.74 in the jump-off.

Sophia Donovan

Sophia Donovan, a Canadian who resides in West Lebanon, New Hampshire, earned a win on Oct. 7 in the CEI2* 120 Endurance competition. Riding WM’s Triple Crown, sired by Vondar Black Bart, an 11-year-old Half Arabian gelding owned by Stephen Rojek, Donovan finished with a final time of 10:34:52 and an final average speed of 11.34.

Naomi Klammer

In front of a hometown crowd, Naomi Klammer of Chilliwack, BC, won the CVIJ1* Individual Junior Female 1* on Sept. 22. Performing with Zorro, a 10-year-old Canadian Sport Horse co-owned by Jeanine van der Sluijs and Angelique Vick, Klammer and lunger Vick finished with a final score of 6.684.

Caitlyn Sutherland

Caitlyn Sutherland of Foothills, AB, earned a win in the CCI2*-S on Sept. 29 in Spokane, WA. Riding her own EMS Florence (Loch Cruise x Cruising), a 13-year-old Irish Sport Horse mare, the pair earned a score of 33.8 in the dressage phase, a score of zero on cross country and finished with one fault in show jumping for a final score of 37.8.

Vanessa Crouse

On Sept. 22, Vanessa Crouse of Sooke, BC, finished in first place in the CVI1* Individual Senior in Chilliwack, BC. Performing with Mt. Bakers Major’s Waylon, a 16-year-old Clydesdale gelding owned by Stella French, Crouse and lunger Kim Scott, earned a final score of 6.710.
