Kassidy Keith of Surrey, BC., and Havana, her nine-year-old Dutch Warmblood mare (Cardento x Judgement) topped the eight-horse jump-off to capture to win the $36,900 CSI 2* on Oct. 1 in Langley, BC. Their jump-off time of 41.40 seconds edged out Ireland’s Conor Swail and Vital Chance de la Rogue, who had also jumped clear in a time of 41.81.
Morgan Howey
On Oct. 3, Morgan Howey of Squamish, BC, and her own F (Numero Uno x Nimmerdor) won the CSI 1* course at Biarritz, FRA. The 11-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding and Howey finished with a score of 60.49 and no faults to beat France’s Jules Barrere and Diddle Star, who recorded 73.95.
Diane Creech
On Oct. 1 in Devon, PA, Diane Creech of Caistor Centre, ON., and Chrevis Christo (DWB x Matador), who she co-owns with Louise Leatherdale won the CDI 3* Grand Prix. Creech and the 18-year-old Danish Warmblood gelding finished with a 68.761% over fellow Canadian Tanya Strasser-Shostak and Deja vu Tyme, who scored 65.130%.
The duo competed a day later and captured the win with a score of 69.659% in the CDI 3* Grand Prix Special in Creech and Chrevis Christo won over Colombia’s Maria Alejandra Apointe Gonzalez and Duke de Niro, who finished with a 66.745%.
Vanessa Creech-Terauds
On Oct. 1, Vanessa Creech-Terauds of Caistor Centre, ON., and Fleur de Lis L (First Dance x De Niro), who is owned by Diane Creech and Louise Leatherdale, captured the win in the CDI U25 in Devon, PA. The 12-year-old Hanoverian mare and Creech-Terauds posted a 67.147%, outlasting Melanie Delduco and Sangria of the USA, with 55.030%.
One day later in Devon, PA., Creech-Terauds and Fleur de Lis L continued their success from the first day, finishing with 65.897% over Delduco and Sangria who posted 51.795%.
Tiffany Foster

Tiffany Foster of North Vancouver, BC, closed out the CSI 2* BCHJA Fall Finale at Thunderbird Show Park in Langley, BC, with a win in the $100,000 Onni Group Grand Prix on Oct. 3. Foster rode Brighton (Contender II x Quick Star), a 15-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding owned by Andy and Carlene Ziegler’s Artisan Farms LLC., topped a six-horse jump-off. The duo’s time of 36.37 was more than enough to win over USA’s Lauren Crooks and Louisiana van de Moortelshoeve, who stopped the clock in 37.80.
Karina Frederiks
Karina Frederiks of Hamilton, ON., and Ujade Ste Hermelle (Diamant de Semilly x Paladin des Ifs), owned by Ilan Ferder and Iron Horse Farm captured CSI 2* victory in Bonheiden, BEL on Oct. 8. The 13-year-old Selle Français and Frederiks recorded the win, posting a 56.29, edging Ireland’s Jessica Burke and Billy Atlantic, who recorded 56.48.
Lauren Esdale
Lauren Esdale and Viamdios D’Avril (Diamant de Semilly x Fol Avril), owned by Pauline Esdale, raced around to victory in the CSI 2* in White Sulfur Springs, WV on Oct. 15. The Seagrave, ON native and the 12-year-old Selle Français gelding posted a 23.63, narrowly beating Australia’s Rowan Willis and Wellington Grey Goose with a 23.66.
Kate Walkington
On Oct. 2, Kate Walkington of Langley, BC, and her own Clarimero T, a 10-year-old Oldenburger gelding advanced to a jump-off phase with six other athletes. Walkington and Clarimero T emerged victorious over Anya Bereznicki and The Great Gatsby to win the CET Medal British Columbia Regional Final Championship title.
Lily van Elliot
On Sept. 30, Lily van Elliot of Richmond, BC and Carvill VA, a 11-year-old Holsteiner gelding owned by Yvonne van Duin captured the victory during the CSI 2* BCHJA fall finale at Thunderbird Show Park in Langley, BC.
Ellah Dubeau-Kielty
Ellah Dubeau-Kielty of Burlington, ON, continued with a double victory during the Caledon Cup tournament. Riding Blueberry Hill (Viva Voltaire), an eight-year-old Canadian Warmblood gelding owned by Kate Curry and Dubeau-Kielty topped five other entries to earn the win in the CET Medal class.
Two days later in Jump Canada medal, Dubeau-Kielty emerged victorious, riding Kingsport, a 10-year-old Oldenburger gelding, owned by Kathy Hartling. Dubeau-Kielty outlasted Peterborough ON., Catherine O’Connor and Melbourne Z.
Quincy Hayes
On Oct. 22 in Wilmington, OH., Quincy Hayes and Paisley Park owned by Danielle Trudell-Baran captured the victory over 28 other entries in the WEC 3’ Open Hunter Derby. The Aurora, ON., native and the nine-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding posted a score of 184 over USA’s Morgan Ward and Playmaker, who recorded a score of 180.5.
Brandon McMechan
On Oct. 20, Brandon McMechan and Oscar’s Wild, a 12-year-old Thoroughbred gelding, who he co-owns with Glenn McMechan earned the win in the CCI 3* in Lexington, KY. The duo recorded a score of 29.4, winning over Ireland’s Timothy Bourke and Quality Explosion, posting a 34.7.
Tik Maynard
On Oct. 21, Tik Maynard captured the top two positions in the CCI 2* in Sarasota, FL. Riding Galileo (San Remo x Rousseau), a 10-year-old Dutch Warmblood owned by Richard Maynard, recorded a 21.3 over his other score of 28.6, when Maynard rode Skm Lux Sonata (Lux Z), a nine-year-old Irish Sport horse.
