Eric Lamaze
Canadian Olympian Eric Lamaze recorded his first win of the 2021 season in his hometown of Wellington, FL, on Jan. 13 at the Winter Equestrian Festival CSI 3*. He rode Chacco Kid (Chacco Blue x Come On), a 15-year-old Oldenburg gelding owned by the Chacco Kid Group, through two flawless rounds in the $6,000 Douglas Elliman Real Estate 1.45m, stopping the timers in 26.97 seconds for the win.
Chloe Gasiorowski
Toronto, ON, native Chloe Gasiorowski has earned great success in her first-ever FEI level competitions riding Floratina (Fidertanz 2 x Rubin Royal OLD) in Wellington, FL. On Dec. 11, the pair conquered the Global Dressage Festival Fall II CDI-Am Prix St. Georges with a score of 66.029%. Gasiorowski and her 13-year-old Hanoverian mare brought their winning ways into the new year on Jan. 14, where they won the CDI-Am Prix St. Georges during the first week of the Adequan Global Dressage Festival (AGDF) on a score of 67.853%.
Camille Carier Bergeron
During AGDF 3, Camille Carier Bergeron of Mascouche, QC, topped the CDI-Y Team Test leaderboard on Jan. 29. She scored 68.853% riding Gilles Bergeron’s Sound of Silence 4 (San Amour I x Limes), a 13-year-old Westphalian gelding with whom Carier Bergeron has been partnered since 2019.

In the CPEDI 3* Grade III competition at AGDF 3, Canadian Paralympian Lauren Barwick of Reddick, FL, dazzled with Lee Garrods’ Sandrino (Spirit of Westfalia x Pavarotti). On Jan. 30, Barwick and the nine-year-old Westphalian hit a personal best of 76.367% to take top honours in the Freestyle.
Beth Underhill
Canadian Olympian Beth Underhill of Schomberg, ON, made her mark on the Desert Circuit II in Thermal, CA, aboard Sandy Lupton’s 14-year-old Hanoverian gelding, Count Me In (Count Grannus x Sherlock Holmes). The combination handily won Jan. 30’s $36,600 1.45m CSI 3* competition, cruising through the jump-off clear in 30.75 seconds ahead of Americans Mavis Spencer and Belladonna 42, who clocked a time of 32.48 seconds.
Mathilde Blais Tétreault
Making her CDI 3* debut at AGDF 3, Mathilde Blais Tétreault of Montreal, QC, finished first in the Intermediate I competition on Jan. 31. She and Fedor (Johnson TN x Negro), an 11-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding owned by her sister, Laurence Blais Tétreault, were awarded 66.647% by the judges.
