Ottawa, ON, Sept. 24, 2020 – Realize your coaching goals with ECampus, the new online learning platform and management system from Equestrian Canada (EC), launched in celebration of National Coaches Week.

In addition to providing premier educational content for all equestrians, this exciting new resource will support the Provincial/Territorial Sport Organizations (PTSOs) in all aspects of Coach certification and management.

The ECampus features four sections of educational opportunities to facilitate your journey along the Coach certification pathway:

Learn. Train. Certify. Now on ECampusE-Learning

The e-Learning section offers online courses created by EC, as well as courses built by sport partners such as Sport for Life, to provide well-rounded education on a variety of topics.

Two e-learning courses are particularly important to note on your journey towards EC/National Coach Certification Program (NCCP) certification:

Fostering Healthy Equestrian Environments
This course is designed to help equestrian coaches, trainers, officials and sport leaders learn how to create and support a safe and respectful environment for all participants. The course introduces the participant to EC’s Safe Sport and Complaints policies, addresses topics related to harassment, abuse and discrimination, and helps you understand how to respond appropriately and effectively.

EC Concussions
This course is designed to help equestrian coaches, athletes, parents, officials and event organizers become more knowledgeable about the four R’s of concussion management – recognize, remove, refer and return – and familiarize themselves with EC’s return to sport guidelines.

The Fostering Healthy Equestrian Environments and EC Concussions courses are available free to all active EC Sport Licence Holders as part of EC’s commitment to providing a safe and inclusive environment for all participants.

Additionally, in honour of the ECampus launch, active EC Sport Licence Holders will save 50% on all e-learning courses until Oct. 31, 2020. Active EC Sport Licence Holders who log in to the campus before Sept. 30, 2020, will also receive complimentary access to Introduction to Long-Term Development in Sport and Physical Activity using the coupon code 1C5C9B.

Live Training

The Live Training section will allow coaches to discover and sign up for both in-person and online clinics, as well as webinars, that will contribute to NCCP or EC/NCCP Coaching certifications. PTSOs and Provincial/Territorial Coaching Representatives (PTCRs) offerings will also be available via the Live Training section. Live training opportunities will begin to be added to the ECampus over the coming months.

Certification

The ECampus supports PTSOs in certification and evaluation management by providing EC/NCCP Coach certification pathways and descriptions for review. Select the program that’s right for you and track your progress along the certification pathway through your Dashboard.

Evaluation

Under the Evaluation section, coaches currently on a certification pathway will be able to view information about upcoming Coach certification evaluation opportunities as they become available.
