Call for Nominations: Regional Directors & Directors at Large

All Over the Map – October 2019

Horse Council BC (HCBC), in accordance with the organization’s by-laws, is seeking candidates for one position for each of six HCBC Regions, each for two-year terms, as well as seeking candidates for two positions of Directors at Large, each for two-year terms.

Nominations and elections for regional directors are being held for: the East Kootenays, Thompson Shuswap, Peace River, Vancouver Island North, Vancouver Sunshine Coast and Fraser Valley East Regions, electing representatives for a two year term. Click here to view the Regional Map.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Nominations close at 4 p.m., Oct. 23, 2019.

Prospective candidates interesting in serving on the Board of Directors are encouraged to review the roles and responsibilities, eligibility information, timelines and instructions, and submit a completed the Nomination Form by the deadline.

Ideal candidates include dedicated individuals with the dynamic and relevant skills to take on a leadership role in the governance of the organization. Directors will have the opportunity to help HCBC effectively deliver on the mission and vision of the organization.

Saskatchewan Horse Federation Opens Nominations for Newly Launched ‘Sask Horse Hall of Fame’

All Over the Map – October 2019

The Saskatchewan Horse Federation (SHF) is excited to announce the launch of the SHF Hall of Fame established to honour and celebrate Saskatchewan residents who significantly contributed to the growth and awareness of the role horses have played in the province’s culture, agriculture, industry and sport.

Nominations for The SHF Hall of Fame are now being invited for individuals, couples or families and, unique to the Hall of Fame, nominations for Saskatchewan’s horses to acknowledge their role in the province’s history. Inductees may be nominated to recognize contributions to industry growth or animal welfare, accomplishments in breeding or equestrian sports, impact on early provincial agricultural development, or to recognize the significance to First Nations Culture.

The 2019 selected nominees will be inducted at a celebration during the Federation’s 2020 Annual General Meeting next March in Regina.
