Ever since her childhood in the Hudson area of Quebec, Lesley has been involved with horses and dressage. A long-time owner of many ponies and horses, she has been very active in Pony Club in a variety of roles. For many years, Lesley’s sharp mind and clear writing skills have made her a regular and much requested judge’s scribe in Ontario and Quebec. She has worked with FEI and EC certified judges at major competitions, and also guided and encouraged new judges at the schooling show level. In addition, Lesley hopes to groom and cheer for her current pony in the dressage arena this summer.
EC extends its thanks to Lesley for many years of volunteering and supporting dressage; she is a well-deserving recipient of this recognition.
If you know of a volunteer who deserves recognition, nominations are quick and easy through the EC website. Nominations for the award are accepted until the 20th day of each month, making June 20th the next deadline to submit the name of a volunteer who has made a difference to the sport of dressage. Questions and comments on the Dressage Volunteer of the Month Award can be directed to Christine Peters at cpeters@equestrian.ca.
