August 18, 2026 – Aachen, Germany –
Canada’s Kyle Timm (Calgary, AB) and Chris Pratt (Uxbridge, ON) have both qualified to advance to the next Individual Qualifier at the FEI World Championships in Aachen, Germany, following exceptional clean rounds Thursday, August 20. Unfortunately, as a Team we are not inside the top-10 to advance to the Team final. Timm is riding Casino Calvin for the Rein Family LLC and Tara Dow-Rein.

“I’m really happy and the horse jumped incredibly well today,” said Timm. “The preparation today was just trying to build on the relaxation from yesterday; yesterday was better than the training day here. He’s not a horse that does well with shock, he does well with confidence and calmness. I’m very happy with the way he went today.”
Pratt rode Ideaal ES, owned by Take the High Road LLC, as the anchor for Canada Thursday. It’s been 20 years since Pratt’s last World Championships (also here at Aachen,) and he said, “The horse feels amazing. The last year-and-a-half riding him, he’s always stepped up to what we’ve asked him to do. This is by far the biggest ask and it felt like he understands exactly how the sport should be played.”

Amy Millar and Jagger HX
Amy Millar (Perth, ON) and Jagger HX, owned by Team Eye Candy and Millar Brooke Farm, had one rail down in today’s round.
“My horse was wonderful today; I unfortunately knocked down (the second fence), so I had four faults but he jumped the rest of the course beautifully. You spend about a quarter of a second wondering if there’s anything you need to correct – in this case there wasn’t, it was quite a big vertical and I think he got a little surprised. Then you just dig in and try as hard as you can, because in these team competitions you’re putting in the best score you can from start to finish.”
The fourth team member, Erynn Ballard, retired Ilan Ferder’s Fave d’Authuit on course, having had the first rail down and trouble at the 5a/b combination. With the team out of the competition, Pratt and Timm will continue on to tomorrow’s round as individual competitors.
Friday’s show jumping will begin at approximately 14:30 local time, find the official order of go, course map and live results online at Aachen2026.com
