Hannah Beaulieu tops the leaderboard twice in Hungary
Tanya Strasser-Shostak and Ava MacCoubrey contest Dressage at Devon with personal bests
Hannah Beaulieu of Maple Ridge, BC, heard the Canadian national anthem twice on the weekend while earning two impressive victories for Canada at the CDIW Budapest-Fót, in Hungary from Sept. 29 – Oct. 1.
Contesting the CDI1* division, Beaulieu guided Meggle’s Long Island (Lord Loxley I x Breitling W), an 11-year-old Hanoverian gelding owned by Marina u. Toni Meggle Dressurstall GmbH & Co.KG, in a seven-horse starting field in the Prix St. Georges with a score of 70.353%. The pair repeated their winning ways in the Intermediate I test with a score of 69.441%.

Tanya Strasser-Shostak and Ava MacCoubrey earn personal bests at the Dressage at Devon from Sept. 26 – Oct. 1 in Devon, PA. Held for over 40 years, the event has brought some of the top competitors, horses, trainers and judges from across the continent and around the world together for one of the highest-rated international dressage competitions.
On Sept. 30, Strasser-Shostak of Sainte-Adèle, QC, finished in second place, while recording a personal best score of 74.280% in the FEI World Cup Grand Prix Freestyle, while riding Fidelis Tyme (Fit for Fun x Pentagon’s Peron), a 13-year-old Oldenburg gelding owned by Evi Strasser.

In the CDI1* FEI Prix St. Georges, Cobourg, Ontario native Ava MacCoubrey and Einstein JP (Democraat x Contango), a 14-year-old Dutch warmblood gelding owned by Jennifer Kellock, finished in third place with a personal best score of 68.578%.

Evi Strasser of Sainte-Adèle, QC, and her own Déjà Vu Tyme (Dauphin x Werbellin), a 16-year-old Hanoverian gelding earned wins in the CDI 3* Grand Prix (66.217%) and the Grand Prix Special (66.117%). Christian Garweg, who resides in Gloucester VA, and Excalibur RS (Johnson TN x Lancer II), a 14-year-old Dutch warmblood gelding owned by Karen Meyer, placed second in both classes (65.652% and 64.745%).
