Canadian Show Jumping Team Wins Wellington Nations Cup

The Canadian Show Jumping Team of Mario Deslauriers, Tiffany Foster, Erynn Ballard and Beth Underhill led Canada over 11 teams to win the $150,000 CSIO4* Nations Cup on March 4 during week eight in Wellington, FL. In his debut as Chef d ’Equipe, ten-time Olympian Ian Millar led Canada to its seventh Nations’ Cup win at the Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF). For more information, please click here.
Tim Wilks
On Feb. 25, Tim Wilks of Henley on Thames, UK rode Diamanthella Vg Z (Diamant de Semilly x Hickory Mail) to the CSI 4* victory in Vejer de la Frontera, ESP. While riding the 10-year-old Belgian Warmblood mare, owned by IN Showjumpers, Wilks was able to jump double clear and stop the clock at 36.89 over USA’s Michael Hughes and Kashmir van d’oude Pastory (37.31), who finished in second.
Vanessa Creech-Terauds

On Feb. 12, Vanessa Creech-Terauds of Caistor Centre, ON, danced her way to a victory in the CDI 1* in the Intermediate I Freestyle to Music in Wellington, FL. Riding Duchess L (Damsey x De Niro), a 12-year-old Hanoverian mare owned by Diane Creech and Louise Leatherdale, Creech-Terauds finished tying score of 70.790% with Thailand’s Suphajit Vuntanadit and Wall Street JV.
Jacqueline Steffens Daly
Jacqueline Steffens-Daly of Harriston, ON, claimed the victory in the Welcome Prix CSI 3* at the World Equestrian Center in Ocala, FL, on March 2. Riding Freaky (Darco x Litho X), a 13-year-old Dutch warmblood gelding owned by Eye Candy Jumpers, Steffens-Daly secured the win in 40.97, while jumping double clear, over second place Chloe Reid and Crossover 4 of the USA, who stopped the clock at 44.28.
Sean Jobin
Sean Jobin and Coquelicot VH Heuvelland Z (Catoki x Cassini II), an 11-year-old Zangersheide gelding owned by Foxridge Farms Stables earned a win in the CSI 3* Two Phase in Wellington, FL, on Feb. 16. The Toronto native, who resides in Florida, jumped double clear and stopped the clock with a time of 38.38 and 33.75 over fellow Canadian Nicole Walker and Matonge of Colors (40.15, 35.28).
Vanessa Mannix
Vanessa Mannix of Calgary, AB, earned the win at Desert International Park in Thermal, CA, on March 2 in the CSI 3* Two Phases. Riding her own Carmela Z (Candillo 3 x Nissan Caretano Z), a 12-year-old Zangersheide mare, the pair sped around the course jumping double clear and finishing with a times of 46.07 and 34.72 over second place Conor Swail and Casturano of Ireland (44.85, 36.38).
Ali Ramsay
Ali Ramsay of Victoria, BC, earned her second FEI win at Desert International Park in Thermal, CA, on March 3 in the CSI 3* 1.50m Speed. Aboard Conrado 12 (Cardento 933 x Diarado), a nine-year-old Belgian warmblood gelding co-owned by David Sport Horses Inc., and Ramsay Equestrian Inc., the Canadian pair jumped clear and finished with a time of 69.40, over USA’s Tali de Jong and Waillant de Belle Vue (0; 70.82).
Amy Millar

Amy Millar of Perth, ON, claimed the top two places in the CSI 4* event in Wellington, FL, on March 1. Riding GCS Athena, sired by Vigo D Arsouilles STX, a nine-year-old Irish Sport Horse owned by Brookstreet Stables Corporation, Millar was able to jump clear and stop the clock at 68.06 over her other time of 70.97, while aboard Christiano.
Jordan Steenbeek
Jordan Steenbeek of Woodham, ON, skillfully navigated a team of stunning Friesian geldings in Ocala, FL, in the CAI 2*-H2 Pair Horse competition from Feb. 23. A final score of 192.61 secured the win with six-year-old Eric Stonecreek and seven-year-old Alex Stonecreek. The trio would secure 79.06 in dressage, 98.96 in the marathon and 14.59 in cones.
Mathieu Michot
Mathieu Michot of Montreal, QC, earned a victory in the CSI YH1* in Royan, France on Feb. 15. Riding Guess du Challois (President x Jaguar Mail), a seven-year-old mare owned by Fabien Rogers, Michot jumped clear and stopped the clock at 60.24 over his other time in second place (60.31), while riding Qinaki van den Dael.
A week later, Michot earned another win in the CSI YH1* on Feb. 23 in Royan, France. Riding his own Qinaki van den Dael, a seven-year-old Belgian warmblood mare, the pair clocked their victory at 57.04 over France’s Tony Hanquinquant and Lacomonique, who finished with a time of 57.95.
Aubrie Miller
Aubrie Miller of Winnipeg, MB, took home the win on Feb. 10 in the CDI Junior Team Competition in Wellington, FL. Riding her own Izostar (Everdale x I.P.S Gribaldi), a 10-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding, Miller finished with a score of 60.455%.
A day later, Miller and Izostar earned another victory with a score of 60.735% in the CDI Junior Individual Competition.
Jérôme Drolet
Jérôme Drolet of Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures, QC, earned the victory on Feb. 23 in the CAI 2*-H1 in Ocala, FL. Riding Fizz Forever, sired by Whiskei S-1486, an 13-year-old American Dutch Harness horse owned by Catherine Levasseur, Drolet set a score of 55.50 in the dressage, 83.85 in the marathon and finished with a score of 3.00 in the cones for a total score of 142.35.
