Ali Ramsay of Victoria, BC, and Conrado 12 (Cardento 933 x Diarado), a nine-year-old Belgian warmblood gelding co-owned by David Sport Horses Inc., and Ramsay Equestrian Inc., earned a victory in the CSI 2* in Thermal, CA. The Canadian pair jumped clear and finished with a time of 69.30, over fellow Canadian Vanessa Mannix and Valentino D’Elte (71.16).
Carol Robinson
Carol Robinson of Edmonton, AB, earned victories in the CDIAm during a three-day event from Dec. 16 – 18, in Thermal, CA, to close out the 2022 season. Riding her own Lightfoot (Johnson TN x Florestan I), a 12-year-old Dutch warmblood gelding, the pair posted a score of 64.882% in the Prix St-Georges. The next two days, the duo recorded 66.235% in the Intermediate I and 71.635% in the Intermediate I Freestyle to Music.
Robinson and her own Lightfoot earned three wins again in the CDIAm, from Jan. 6 – 8 in Thermal, CA. On the first day, the pair recorded a score of 62.441% in the Prix St-Georges, the second day in the Intermediate I, they earned a score of 64.941% and concluded the event in the Intermediate I Freestyle to Music with a score of 65.670%.
Tiffany Foster
Tiffany Foster of Langley, BC, and Brighton (Contendro II x Quick Star), a 16-year-old Dutch warmblood gelding owned by Artisan Farms LLC earned the win in the CSI 5* MLSJ in Thermal, CA on Dec. 8. The pair jumped clear and finished with a time of 70.51, over Australia’s James Arkins and Eurostar 1, who finished with a time of 71.58.
Erynn Ballard
Erynn Ballard of Tottenham, ON, earned the win at the CSI 5* MLSJ on Dec. 10, in Thermal, CA. Riding Narcotique V/H Dingenshof (Harley VDL x Chacco-Blue), a nine-year-old Belgian warmblood mare owned by Ilan Ferder, the duo jumped double clear and finished the winning round with a time of 39.75 over Darragh Kenny and Chic Chic of Ireland, who finished with 40.71.
Four days later, the Canadian pair finished atop of the leaderboard in the CSI 4* in Fort Worth, TX on Dec. 14. The pair jumped clear and stopped the clock with a time of 30.30, over Ireland’s Daniel Coyle and Ivory TCS (30.77).
Kara Chad
Kara Chad of Millarville, AB, had a successful two months in Spain in the CSIYH1*, while riding Gability van de Eijkhof Z (sired by George Z), a seven-year-old Belgian warmblood mare owned by S.A.R.L Stone Ridge Farms. On Dec. 7 in Olivia, ESP, in the pair jumped double clear and stopped the clock at 32.38 over Ireland’s Seamus Hughes Kennedy and Curra Ferro (33.46).
In Vejer de la Frontera on Jan. 19, the duo finished with a time of 26.80, while jumping clear over France’s Yann Chartier Capitaine and Chicharita 3 (30.11). A day later, the Canadian guided the mare to another victory, this time stopping the clock at 62.51 over Sweden’s Jacob Hellstrom and Charles (65.02). On Jan. 27, the duo finished atop of the leaderboard, with a time of 61.61 over Great Britain’s Daisy McKinlay and Donder Slage (68.45).
Eric Krawitt
On Jan. 19, Eric Krawitt of Okotoks, AB, earned the win in the CSI 3* in Thermal, CA. Riding his own Chicago CM (Cassini I x Carpaccio), a nine-year-old Holsteiner gelding, jumped double clear and finished the winning round with a time of 32.80 over USA’s Chandler Meadows and Zamia 3, who also jumped double clear and stopped the clock at 34.09.
Setareh Sadeghi
On Jan. 27, Setareh Sadeghi, a Canadian who resides in Dubai, earned a win in the CSI CH-A in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Riding Drastore (Darco x Cape Canaveral), a 20-year-old Oldenburg gelding owned by Andrea Agnew, jumped double clear and stopped the clock at 28.31 over UAE’s Shamsa Almheiri and Dagonetta (28.80).
Hamzah Jamal Almahamid
Hamzah Jamal Almahamid of Mississauga, ON, earned a victory on Feb. 2 in Sharjah, UAE in the CSIO CH NC-Y. Riding Jasmine, an eight-year-old Oldenburg mare owned by Hicham Gharib, jumped double clear and finished with a time of 28.99 in the winning round.
Alison Campbell-Wright
Alison Campbell-Wright of Victoria, BC, took him wins during the three-day event in Thermal, CA, from Dec. 16-18. Riding Slapstick (Savoy x Reccio L), a nine-year-old Hanoverian gelding owned by Bonnie Campbell, the pair finished with a score of 65.912% in the Junior Individual Competition on Dec. 17. The next day, Campbell-Wright would guide Slapstick in the Junior Freestyle to Music to a score of 70.930%. The Canadian duo would earn three wins a few weeks later in Thermal, CA, from Jan. 6-8. In the Junior Team Competition, they would finish with a score of 65.303%. A day later, they would finish with 65.853% in the Junior Individual Competition and the pair would conclude the event in the Junior Freestyle to Music with a score of 68.120%.
