A sincere thank you to everyone who took the time to review and share feedback on the 2026 Proposed Rule Changes. The proposed rules comment period has now closed and we are in the process of reviewing all submitted feedback.
This year, we received a record number of thoughtful comments and submissions:
369 comments from 261 unique officials (judges, and stewards) across 10 provinces, 93 comments from 59 community members in 7 provinces (and even one from the UK) through the online feedback portal for active Sport Licence Holders.
In addition, we received 237 emails from individuals/members of our community. Due to your overwhelming level of engagement we will be adding this feedback for consideration and review by the rules committee.
Your commitment helps strengthen our sport, and ensures our rules reflect the perspectives and experiences of the equestrian communities across Canada.
What’s Next:
All feedback is now under review by the respective EC Committees. Final revisions to rules being moved forward will be approved and posted on the EC website before the 2026 Rules take effect on January 1.
We appreciate your passion and collaboration in shaping the future of equestrian sport in Canada. 🐎
