Compete from your home stable on a familiar horse while receiving expert feedback from certified judges — all at an affordable cost. Competition fuels athlete development, setting new goals, building confidence and driving progress.
Video competitions encourage Para Dressage riders to develop effective skills and provide them with an opportunity to compete in a progressive and structured environment. They are a fantastic way to ensure that all riders across Canada, no matter how geographically isolated, have the chance to compete. These competitions provide a unique opportunity for Canadian riders, regardless of their location, to compete alongside fellow Canadian athletes in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Competition plays a crucial role in athlete development, inspiring new goals, boosting confidence, and fostering a sense of achievement. These events also provide affordable, expert feedback from certified judges, helping riders sharpen their skills and monitor their progress.

What’s New for 2025?
✔️ Lower Entry Fees – Now The cost is $40.00 per class, with a 50% discount for entries in multiple classes.
✔️ Refined Competition Schedule – Four key events to enhance participation and feedback.
✔️ Restructured guidelines that enhance clarity, support athlete development, and align with the new Para Dressage competition pathway.
✔️ Restructured classes are organized into divisions based on ability levels to ensure a fair and inclusive competition experience. These divisions accommodate riders with varying levels of experience and skill.
✔️ NEW Tests Added – Expanding competitive opportunities!
✔️ To maintain a structured judging process, we have established two distinct judging panels:
- EC Recorded/Basic Dressage Judges – Responsible for judging entry-level novice riders.
- EC Medium/Senior Dressage Judges – Responsible for assessing FEI Intermediate and Grand Prix test
2025 Classes Available:
- Divisions 1-2: Intro to Sport – Beginner (Unclassified riders with a physical impairment)
- Divisions 3-4: Development Classes (Unclassified riders with a physical impairment)
- Division 5: Development Classes (Classified riders)
- Division 6: Intermediate Classes (Para-classified riders in Gold & CPEDI competitions)
- Divisions 7-8: Beginner–Novice–Inclusion (Riders with physical & intellectual impairments not eligible for para classification
Choosing the Right Class & Progression:
- Work with a coach to select a class that matches your ability and fosters growth.
- Compete at the highest level of your skills for development.
- Classes are available for non-classified riders and NEW VI (Visually Impaired)
- Carefully review class descriptions to ensure the right fit.
- Riders placing in the top three consistently should advance, while those facing challenges can move down to rebuild confidence.
