Canadian equine transport company commits financial and transport support through the 2028 Olympic cycle.
Ottawa, ON, March 14, 2026 – Equestrian Canada (EC) and Ecclestone Horse Transport (EHT) today announced a new four-year partnership that will support Canadian equestrian athletes and their horses as they compete nationally and internationally. Through the agreement, Ecclestone Horse Transport becomes the Official Horse Transporter of Equestrian Canada.
Over the past decade, Ecclestone Horse Transport has provided industry-leading equine transportation for many of Canada’s top athletes, establishing itself as one of Canada’s leading horse transport providers. As part of the partnership, Ecclestone Horse Transport will contribute a multi-year investment, through funding and transport services from 2026 to 2029, supporting Canadian equestrian athletes and their horses on the road to major international championships. The company will also serve as a professional resource for Equestrian Canada and its members.
The partnership spans the upcoming Olympic cycle, including the 2026 FEI World Championships, the 2027 Pan American Games, and the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Los Angeles.
“Getting horses to competition safely and in top condition is critical for any team,” said Ian Millar, chef d’equipe and technical advisor of the Canadian show jumping team. “Ecclestone Horse Transport delivers exactly that – professional, reliable service that horse owners can depend on. Their commitment to the welfare of the horse and the needs of the rider makes them an invaluable partner to our sport.”
Beyond Canada’s high-performance teams, the partnership will also contribute to the development pathway for the next generation of national team riders. Transport services provided through the agreement will help support youth development initiatives and participation at international competitions such as the FEI North American Youth Championships (NAYC), a key stepping stone toward senior team representation.
From youth athletes attending their first international championship, to senior riders representing Canada at the Olympic Games, the safe and reliable movement of horses is vital to the sport’s infrastructure. Through this partnership, Ecclestone Horse Transport is helping ensure Canadian athletes across disciplines can access the competitions that define their careers.
“Ecclestone Horse Transport is proud to partner with Equestrian Canada as the Official Horse Transport Partner,” said Kyle Ecclestone, Founder and President of Ecclestone Horse Transport. “Our company was built within the equestrian community, and supporting Canadian athletes and their horses on the road to major championships is something we believe deeply in. This partnership represents an investment back into the sport and the riders we serve.”
“Horse transport is an integral part of international competition, and partnerships like this help ensure Canadian athletes can pursue success at the highest levels of the sport,” said Meg Krueger, CEO of Equestrian Canada. “Kyle and the entire EHT team bring tremendous experience, horsemanship, and professionalism to their work. We are excited to partner with a company that shares our commitment to horse welfare and the continued growth of Canadian equestrian sport.”
In addition to this national partnership, Ecclestone Horse Transport maintains longstanding relationships supporting competitions and organizations across the Canadian equestrian community, including the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair, Angelstone Tournaments, Ontario Equestrian, and the Canadian Hunter Derby Series.
Together, Equestrian Canada and Ecclestone Horse Transport look forward to sharing in the success of Canadian athletes and their horses as they compete on the world stage in the years ahead.
